Yay! It's great to be home and even better to have clean hair courtesy of my personal stylist - Matt!
Since Dr. Walker is out of town this week, we will not meet on the pathology report until next week.
I'm extremely tired thanks to the many nightly interruptions at the hospital, so this won't be long. I do want to thank Shelley Anderson for the fantastic meal that she brought us for Monday. Thank you for not including Jello as part of the menu. I've had enough of that offered to me over the past four days.

Matt's parents taught him to be a well rounded hubby. Kudos to Becky and Dennis,although I think it was Becky more than Dennis. I remember a bridal or baby shower when Dennis called Becky to come home and change Matts diapers. Sandy you are doing great. Karen

Dear Sandy,
I wasn't aware of your aversion to carrots but I know from where it stems. I too have a "special story".
Once upon a time there were 3 children...your dad, me and Uncle David (who?). They lived with their really fun dad and evil, carrot-cooking mother. One night the little boy didn't want to eat his carrots. His mother set the timer on the stove and told him to finish everything on his plate before the timer went off or he'd go to his room. The little boy ate every carrot just before the timer went off. Then be barfed up a boatload of carrots all over the kitchen table. His father said "let's not have carrots again".
I love all your pictures (especially Matt styling your hair...what a guy). You look FAB, and I love being able to keep up with the incredible progress you are making. Let's think about a date for the cousin's reunion this summer. I'll bring the carrots.

Re licenses: I don't think you need them for the water or the brush or the dryer...it's when he picks up the *scissors* that we'll need to see some credentials.

Sandy, just got off the phone with you and you sound great. And it makes me super happy, keep up the healing.
Looking forward to hanging out for the day saturday, we'll have to watch Napolean, as long as it doesn't hurt to laugh your #@! off!
And just so ya know, I have always thought I'd be a good P.A. you know errands, walkin the dog, cleaning, etc... so while you nap, you can put me to work.
I know from past years you are pretty much the "sole" gardener of the house, so yard work would be a good one. Just make a list :)

Girl, you look fabulous!!! Better than I do on a day when I actually TRY to look good! As far as Matt taking the lead on the hair washing and such - have him learn how to massage your scalp - that's the best! (Just teasing, Matt! You're doing great!)

I am glad to hear that the surgery went well and that you are resting at home now with your family. It is no fun to be recouping alone in a hospital. Plus, the Jello…
It is clear that women have a much higher threshold for pain. As you know, I recently went through some very minor shoulder surgery (a minor rotator cuff tear) and I thought my arm was going to fall off. Then I look at your pictures from the hospital (and your heartwarming smile with the staff) and I realize that you are a much better woman that I will ever be (I am not sure if that came out right).
It is hard to believe that less than two months ago, we were enjoying a good lunch and a few laughs at Bravo (a lot can happen in a short time). You are always in my thoughts and prayers and I know that your positive outlook will help to see you through the times ahead.
And to Matt, it is a good man who can wash a women’s hair and not look like he belongs in the business. Keep up the good work.
