It seems that the fortunes I usually get in my fortune cookies make no sense at all. On Saturday we had some carry out Thai and of course, some delicious fortune cookies. I did learn from Dad that you are never supposed to open a broken fortune cookie. My fortune (in my unbroken cookie) was: "While times may seem difficult, your future forecasts a quick turnaround." So, hopefully there is something to these things. Too bad quick isn't a week or so, but I'll take it anyway.

Pretty little girls and getting so big. Keep up with the messages as you know Becky isn't verbal at times. It seems you have a large support group which is 1/2 of the battle with cancer,that and a very positive attitude. If you ever feel down (which you might) just call 1-800-grandmaportage. Lots of love and hugs to all of you.
Keep up the good attitude. It does help!
By the way, I'm meeting with my bosom buddies for dinner tonight. We met while in radiation treatment. We have stayed close, and are always there for each other. When I look at this group, I see wonderful, optimistic, funny and supportive women. I see the same thing in you.

It has been way too long since we've seen each other...12 years, I think!!! Who ever thought we would grow up and have to deal with problems greater than which party we were going to or how packed Memorial Library would be! But, if there is anyone whose strength, determination and sheer will I admire, it is you! Although it has been long time, looking at your pictures takes me right back to Madison. Your girls are beautiful! They have the same sparkle in their eyes that you do! My prayers are with you! Hope we are able to get together soon! Cathy and I will be thinking of you!

Well hello, Miss Sandy.
You are an amazing person, quite simply. Even though our recent get-togethers have been infrequent, and consisted of bumping into each other at the Greek Festival in Tosa or roommate frolicking poolside at Becky's each summer, the news about you was heartbreaking to me. I'm looking forward to seeing you this week at Habeneros, and am thinking about you and your family constantly. Hang in there - you've got so much on your side (especially your sense of humor)!
