No Hangover?

The port was placed today and the "yucky" incision cut and re-stiched. Everything went well and looks good. I was "awake" for the procedure but sluring when I did have my eyes open and talking. I have to say it was a very interesting experience and I wouldn't necessarily mind doing it again. It was like having 5 bottles of wine and waking up with no hangover. To give you an idea of how I feel, the discharge instructions included: 1) Do NOT make important decisions for 48 hours (signing contracts, wills, etc.) 2) Do NOT take part in activities requiring coordination or judgement for 24 hours (using lawn mowers, power tools, gas stove, food processors, etc.) 3) Go directly home and have a responsible adult available to help you.

I'm wondering if Matt qualifies as a "responsible adult"......

Maybe you could share some of that no hangover stuff and your extremely positive attitude. karen

Matt is *definitely* a responsible adult. Those responsibilites include the next round next time we see you in the Cleveland airport. =)

It was such a good feeling to see you at the walk. Glad you were able to get that incision taken care of - hopefully no more worries about it. As far as Matt being a responsible adult.....(I think so -he has our vote). Enjoy the beautiful weather we are having (because it still is only May)...
OXOXOX's to everyone!

Hey Sandy,
The jury here is still out about Matt! Actually that goes for the rest of the family as well. Remember when we all tried on the dog's shock collar and then ran across the line? I had that same "cocktail" for my colonoscopy, and it IS PRETTY SPECIAL. On the way home, UC and I stopped at Starbucks but afterwards I didn't even remember having coffee.

I would have to definately question Matt as a responsible adult but I think most of us could say that about our husbands? If you could bottle the cocktail you could make millions. I have had days where I would buy it. I am glad that all went well yesterday!

Lots of Love,
Becky

Between Matt and Olivia, I'd say you were in good hands. Hopefully that clears up the incision and things can go ahead as planned. Love you,

Nate

It was so good to see you, Matt and the girls last Saturday. You are all looking very well. Glad the incision is is fixed and the port put in place. You'll really be glad you have the port down the road. Does that mean the chemo will start next week? Take care and keep that positive attitude. Love you all!
